Homemade dryer sheets and fabric softener!

yes I know the ones in store are cheap but Dryer sheets and fabric softener have nasty chemicals and who wants that for your family?

Dryer Sheets:

1: Find an old T-shirt, flannel blankets, or old wash cloths.
2: Cut it into squares or rectangles
3: in a bowl mix 1/4-1/2 cup of fabric softener (depending on how many you're going to make) with equal parts water.
4: dip fabric in mixture, squeeze out extra, and let air dry
5: Throw in the dryer like a normal dryer sheet. Use each sheet up to 2-3 times.

Homemade Fabric Softener
You can pre-mix your fabric-softening vinegar by using the following recipe:

A simple solution:

1 gallon white vinegar you could use apple cider vinegar too if you wish
the Rind of 3 Lemon, Lime , Orange or Grapefruit Peels
you can also use Rose Petals , Lavender, Lilac, Violets or any edible flower or herbs like mint or rosemary or sage

Examples

Lavender-scented softener is one of my favorites, or a combination of sweet orange and lemon when I need a pick-me-up on laundry day! A third suggestion is to use peppermint for an invigorating minty scent.

Simply Infuse the Peels or Flowers of your choice in the vinegar
and allow to steep 1 week

30-40 drops of essential oil of your choice
try combinations Lavender Mint Lemon Rosemary
Basil mint anything you wish to experiment with

Quick FAQ
Question Does it smell like vinegar? The heat from the dryer kills the vinegar scent. If you are not using essential oils, then there will not be a scent from the fabric softener. If you use essential oils, then it will smell like that particular oil.
